Inter Milan have agreed personal terms with Ademola Lookman, Atalanta and Super Eagles winger.

This is according to Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian journalist who also revealed on Wednesday that Lookman is Inter’s top transfer target for the attack.

Also, according to Fabrizio Romano, another Italian journalist and transfer expert, Lookman still plans to leave Atalanta this summer.

Romano added that Inter are now preparing an official bid for the Nigerian international after positive talks with his camp.

“The opening bid can reach €40m as per @CorSport but Atalanta want more,” the transfer guru wrote on his official X account.

Inter will, however, not find it very easy to sign Lookman because Atlético Madrid also want the 27-year-old if they can sell one more attacking player.

Atalanta could be tempted into selling Lookman under the right circumstances this summer but Inter will be hard-pressed to match La Dea’s current valuation of the reigning African Player of the Year.

Atalanta will seek a fee in excess of €50million for his services this summer, Football Italia understands. That is not including add-ons or any potential players in exchange.

Lookman bagged 20 goals and seven assists from 40 appearances across all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign, adding to his tally of 17 goals and 10 assists in 2023-24, a season that won him the African Player of the Year award.
