Monday Okpebholo, the Governor of Edo, on Tuesday commissioned the New Edo Line, a major leap towards a safe, reliable, and dignified transportation in the state.

Okpebholo was joined by Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State and other distinguished dignitaries across Nigeria.

The New Edo Line, according to Okpebholo, is more than just a fleet of luxury buses, it is a clear signal that Edo State is moving forward.

“It addresses the needs of our people, students, traders, workers, and travelers by restoring safety, order, and pride in public transport,” the governor said.

“I am grateful to President Bola Tinubu, whose unwavering support continues to drive growth and development across Edo through the renewed hope agenda.

“We are already seeing results, and I assure him today: Edo will stand with him in 2027.”

Okpebholo, speaking further, said that leadership is not about noise but about service, discipline, and delivery.

He said that in just a few months, his administration has stayed focused, resisted distractions, and remained committed to changing the lives of the people of Edo for good.

“Welcome to the revolution of Luxury transport in Nigeria. Edo is working again. A new Edo has risen,” Governor Okpebolo said.
