Governor Uba Sani has commissioned Phase One of the Qatar Housing Project in Kaduna State.
Abdallah Yunus Abdallah, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Sani, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Abdallah, the Qatar Housing Project is a collaborative effort between the Kaduna State Government and Qatar Charity Sanabil Project, aimed at supporting victims of banditry.
He stated that this initiative is part of the governor’s broader agenda to rehabilitate and reintegrate those affected by such attacks back into normal life.
“The project represents a significant step towards providing much-needed assistance to individuals and families who have suffered due to banditry in the region,” Abdallah said.
He added that Governor Sani has emphasized the importance of this initiative in fostering recovery and rebuilding the lives of affected communities.
Meanwhile, Sani on Monday performed the groundbreaking for the construction of the Sobawa Modern Motor Park in Igabi Local Government.
The governor, in his address, said the project is a key milestone in his administration’s ongoing efforts to modernize Kaduna State’s transportation system.
This project, according to him, is designed to improve passenger safety, promote environmental cleanliness, and stimulate economic activity in the region.
“As Kaduna grows into a major transportation hub in Nigeria, we are committed to expanding and upgrading infrastructure while embracing innovation and technology to meet rising demand,” Sani said.
“The Sobawa Motor Park is part of a broader vision to create an efficient, safe, and organized transport network.
“Our administration has launched several transformative initiatives, including the centralization of motor parks in both the north and south, a 24km Bus Rapid Transit corridor, modernization of trailer parks, deployment of 100 CNG-powered buses, the Kaduna Light Rail Project, and construction of over 200 bus stops statewide.”
Sani has urged all residents and stakeholders in Kaduna State to support the timely completion of this project.
The governor explained that the Sobawa Motor Park will directly benefit surrounding communities and reinforce Kaduna’s critical role in national connectivity.
He pointed out that together with the people of Kaduna, his administration is building a safer, cleaner, and more prosperous state.
