Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Sunday at the age of 82 in London.
Soludo, in his condolence message, described Buhari as a significant figure in Nigeria’s history and a devoted patriot. He highlighted Buhari’s steadfast commitment to integrity and discipline, noting his initiatives like the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) during his military tenure.
Soludo acknowledged Buhari’s substantial contributions to national development, including efforts in security, infrastructure, and anti-corruption. He emphasised Buhari’s dedication to strengthening the economy and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
Soludo extended his heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family and all Nigerians, praying that Almighty Allah grants him eternal peace and comforts those who mourn his loss.
