Victor Osimhen has completed a permanent transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray for €75 million with the Nigerian striker set to earn €21m per season.
Osimhen on Wednesday night arrived in Istanbul, Turkey for medical tests which he underwent on Thursday afternoon with Galatasaray confirming his transfer in the evening.

Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. reported to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that an agreement had been reached with the player and his club regarding the transfer of professional football player Victor Osimhen,” the Turkish Super Lig club wrote on its official website..
“The following statement was made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding the issue: An agreement has been reached with his club SSCN Napoli SPA regarding the transfer of professional football player Victor James Osimhen.
“In this context, a net transfer fee of EUR 75,000,000 will be paid to the football player’s former club. In addition, within the scope of the agreement, 10% of the profit from the next sale of the football player will be paid to SSCN Napoli SPA.
“A four-year contract was signed with the football player, valid from the 2025-2026 season.
“According to the agreement, the football player will be paid a net 15,000,000 EUR guaranteed salary, a net 1,000,000 EUR loyalty bonus and an image rights fee of 5,000,000 EUR for each season. It is respectfully announced to the public.”
The Nigerian international arrived to a rapturous welcome to Turkey on Wednesday night with Galatasaray fans who ‘adore’ Osimhen storming the airport in their thousands.
Thousands of supporters also tuned into the Galatasaray YouTube channel, which had been tracking the player’s flight over to Istanbul on a live stream.
Galatasaray on Monday agreed to pay the full €75m fee that had been active in the player’s contract with Napoli earlier this summer.
According to a report by Football Italia, Galatasaray will pay €40m up front and the remaining €35m in instalments by the end of 2026.
The Nigerian international played a central role in Napoli’s Serie A title win during the 2022–2023 season, scoring 26 goals in 31 league games to emerge as the first-ever African topscorer in the Italian top-flight.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last summer and the Super Eagles striker went ahead to have a remarkable campaign with the Turkish club.
The 26-year-old scored 37 goals and contributed eight assists in 41 games across all competitions for Galatasaray, helping the club to win the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
