Abdulganiyu also said the FFS decided to launch the new walkie-talkies in a bid to enhance communication efficiency and reduce response time to emergency situations.

“The acquisition of these advanced communication tools will go a long way in ensuring our firefighters respond more promptly and effectively to distress calls,” he stated.

The Controller General, expressed deep appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister, for supplying the communication equipment.

Abdulganiyu also called for continued support in further equipping the FFS with modern tools necessary for efficient service delivery.

As part of the launch, there was a practical demonstration of the use of the new devices by personnel, aimed at familiarizing officers with the features and operational handling of the equipment.
