Senator Aisha Dahiru, alias Binani, who was erroneously declared winner of Adamawa State governorship election, has read her acceptance speech, thanking President Muhammadu Buhari for overseeing the election which saw emerge as Nigeria’s first elected female governor.
Recall that Hudu Ari, the Resident Electoral Commission (REC), on Sunday morning, walked into the collation centre and announced Binani as winner of the election under controversial circumstances.
This was done while the results were still being collated.
Amid the controversy, however, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reversed the declaration.
