Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, popular Kaduna based Islamic cleric, has charged his followers to vote for those that won’t fight bandits during the 2023 general elections.

He argued that bandits are their brothers, and only those who would be willing to negotiate with them should be voted into power.

“Don’t vote for those who will fight bandits. The fighters (bandits) are our people,” he said. “So please vote for those who, after attaining power, will call and negotiate with our people (bandits).”
