Anthony Chiejina, group chief branding and communications officer of Dangote Group, has once again been named to the prestigious Influence 100 list for 2025, marking his fifth consecutive appearance

Chiejina first made the list in 2021 and has been featured every year since, a rare streak that highlights sustained excellence, professional impact, and strategic leadership at the highest levels of global business communication.

Published annually by PRovoke Media, the Influence 100 recognises the most influential senior executives shaping communications, corporate affairs and marketing around the world.

Now in its 13th year, the 2025 edition reflects a fast-changing environment where corporate communication has become central to leadership, governance, stakeholder trust and crisis management.

PRovoke Media described honourees as leaders with “strategic clarity, cultural intelligence and the ability to guide organisations through complexity”, selected through editorial research and industry nominations measured against global influence, budget responsibility, organisational reach and thought leadership.

The list also places emphasis on gender inclusion, racial diversity and geographic spread.

Chiejina’s selection underscores his pivotal role in shaping the reputation of Dangote Group, Africa’s largest and most admired industrial conglomerate. For more than 15 years, he has overseen the Group’s communications across multiple sectors including cement, agriculture, energy, consumer goods and manufacturing.

“As Group Head of Corporate Communications, he oversees external and internal reputation across multiple sectors… and has helped steer the brand’s continued recognition as the most admired indigenous company on the continent,” the publication noted.

Under his stewardship, the Dangote brand has navigated major industrial expansions, regulatory challenges and growing global scrutiny as the conglomerate deepens its African footprint and advances energy security and sustainability goals.

Before joining Dangote, Chiejina held senior roles at Zenith Bank, Oceanic Bank, Seven-Up Bottling Company, the African Economic Digest and African Concord, experience that has shaped his strategic understanding of media, policy and business in Nigeria and beyond.

The 2025 Influence 100 features 28 newcomers and several high-profile returnees following major global appointments, including Michael Stewart (PwC to Unilever), Michael Gonda (McDonald’s to Nike), and Sandy Rodriguez (McDonald’s to Eli Lilly).

This year’s cohort spans 20 countries and includes communications leaders from global giants such as Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Coca-Cola, Shell, Emirates, Google, MTN, Walmart, Lufthansa, Ford, Marriott, Reliance Industries and Tencent.

Female representation remains strong for a second straight year, with 58 women and 42 men named. The 2025 class is also the most educationally accomplished to date, all honourees hold a first degree, while 56% possess advanced qualifications.

Chiejina’s continued presence on the list not only underscores personal accomplishment but further elevates Nigeria  and Africa within the global communications leadership arena.
