President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, to resume official duties after cutting short his vacation.
The confirmation came through a statement on Monday from the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.”
Tinubu had left Nigeria for France on September 4, 2025, to spend part of his annual holiday, with initial plans to split the period between France and the United Kingdom.
During his stay in Paris, the President held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders reportedly reviewed key areas of bilateral cooperation and agreed to deepen partnerships aimed at promoting mutual prosperity and global stability.
This marks Tinubu’s seventh trip to Paris since assuming office in May 2023, and his first foreign visit since attending the BRICS Summit in July and TICAD9 in Japan in August.
