President Bola Tinubu has formally requested the Senate to confirm Joash Amupitan as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The request was contained in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during plenary on Tuesday.
According to the letter, the request is in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution.
