Allwell Ademola, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, is dead.

She was aged 43.

Ademola was said to have suffered a heart attack at her residence before being taken to hospital on Saturday.

According to multiple reports from within the film industry, the tragedy occurred at the residence of Nollywood actress and producer Allwell Ademola, where she reportedly suffered a sudden heart attack.

She was said to have been rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, but efforts to revive her proved unsuccessful. The suddenness of her death, at a relatively young age, has sparked widespread shock and disbelief across the entertainment industry.

News of her passing triggered an emotional outpouring of tributes on social media, with colleagues and fans mourning her loss and reflecting on her impact within the Nollywood community.

Actress Faithia Williams expressed her grief on Instagram, writing, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell,” a reaction that mirrored the sentiments of many.

Actress Mide Martins described the day as a “BLACK SATURDAY……,” sharing a photo of Ademola alongside the message, “This is not fair. May God forgive your shortcomings Allwell.”

Actor Damola Olatunji posted a candlelight image with a short but reflective caption: “Life is a mirage.”

The disbelief surrounding the reports was evident in actress Bidemi Kosoko’s reaction, as she openly rejected the news. “No way. No, no,, no. Ko possible ooo. This isn’t true. God forbid, in Jesus’ name… I refuse to accept this one Lai Lai God forbid… Just reply to my message, abeg Oremi/ aunty mi. I will wait patiently for your reply,” she wrote.

Allwell Ademola was a respected figure in the Yoruba-language segment of Nollywood, celebrated for her compelling on-screen performances as well as her work as a producer. Her sudden death has left a deep void in the industry, prompting collective mourning and reflection on her contributions to Nigerian cinema.
