Fight, in the early hours of Thursday, broke out among commanders of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) in Shettima Affor axis, between Damboa and Gujba, Borno State.

According to a report by Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency expert, the aggrieved Commander moved out of the camp with his fighters on GT/ Motorcycles and headed towards the axis of Kaffa.

Another team, probably from Shettima Afor, arrived Kaffa at about 8:30 a.m and engaged the ISWAP in a gun battle.
