Chidiebere Onyeoma Okeke, a Lagos businessman, has lost a four-bedroom duplex belonging to the federal government of Nigeria.

This is as the federal high court sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of the property belonging to Chidiebere Onyeoma Okeke to the Nigerian government.

The ruling was delivered by Justice Dehinde Dipeolu following a motion filed by the Lagos zonal directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to the EFCC, the property located at No. 21A, Victory Estate, Ago Palace Way, Isolo, Lagos, was being investigated in connection with alleged foreign exchange fraud and money laundering activities.

During proceedings, the anti-graft agency reiterated its resolve to pursue financial crime cases and recover assets linked to illegal activities for the benefit of the country.

The court subsequently granted the order for the permanent forfeiture of the property to the federal government.
