Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has disclosed that approximately 14 banks have met the regulatory capital requirements set by the apex bank.
Cardoso made the revelation on Tuesday during a news conference in Abuja, where he announced the outcomes of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting.
The update comes amid ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s banking sector and ensuring financial system stability.
