Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, an Abuja-based businesswoman has been interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged appointment and contract scam.

According to a report by TheNation, Tejuosho, identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was reportedly questioned by the antigraft agency following complaints from victims who accused her of fraudulently obtaining funds under the guise of securing federal appointments and lucrative government contracts.

Counsel to one of the victims, Chief Tolu Babaleye, alleged that Halimat Adenike Tejuosho orchestrated an elaborate scheme using forged documents and fake appointment letters to deceive unsuspecting individuals.

Chief Babaleye also alleged that Tejuosho leveraged her involvement in humanitarian work and NGO activities as a cover to lure victims and gain their trust.

EFCC Spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed to The Nation that Tejuosho was invited for questioning and has since been granted administrative bail under strict conditions.

The commission stated that investigations are still ongoing and indicated that she may be formally charged to court in the coming weeks.

The anti-graft agency also called on other potential victims to come forward, reaffirming its commitment to tackling all forms of financial crime.
