President Bola Tinubu on Monday reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to crush banditry and terrorism, assuring Nigerians that the fight against insecurity would be won.
Tinubu gave the assurance in Yola while commissioning projects executed by Umaru Fintiri, the Adamawa State Governor.
He commended the armed forces for their sacrifices in confronting insurgents and criminal gangs.
According to the president, “we are grateful to the Nigerian Armed Forces for their commitment to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together, we will win.
“We continue to encourage our governors; we will call on citizens to continue to offer them maximum cooperation in developing their states and the country at large.
“As your leader, I am assuring you of my continuous service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to develop. I am a very happy man.”
The President also praised Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser describing him as “honest, bold, courageous, and committed to the job.”
“I must say clearly here that you are doing an excellent job and we are seeing the results. With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists. You are a good National Security Adviser,” he said, noting that Adamawa State should be proud of Ribadu’s service.
Tinubu added that with sustained military operations and strategic coordination, “the enemies of Nigeria will be flushed out,” reiterating his administration’s commitment to restoring peace and stability nationwide.
