The Nigerian Law School has declared open applications for 2025 Bar Part 1 course. It declared it open in a circular dated Wednesday, 16 July, 2025.

“All intending applicants for admission to the 2025 Bar Part 1 Course are by this notice informed that the application process will open on Wednesday, 16 July, 2025 and close on Friday, 19 August, 2025,” the Nigerian Law School wrote in the circular signed by Aderonke Osho, Secretary to the Council of Legal Education and Director of Administration.

It said that the programme will commence on Monday, 2 September, 2025 at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja.

On the requirements for admission, it said: The programme is open to only Nigerian graduates of Law from Common Law Countries whose Law courses are approved by the Council of Legal Education.

The programme is also open to degrees obtained through part-time study, however, Open University, Long Distance Learning or online modes of study are not recognized for admission to the programme.

On the method of application, prospective applicants have been directed to visit the Nigerian Law School website, www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng, complete the application form and forward to [email protected] on or before Friday, 25 August, 2025.

Applicant’s academic transcript and completed Forms 8, B1 and B2 must be forwarded from the official email address of their University and Employer (if applicable) to: [email protected] on or before Friday, 1 September, 2025.

According to the circular, the subject of all emails should be the applicant’s name and application number.

It said all application documents must be received within the stipulated time, as the Nigerian Law School will not entertain late submission of documents.

“Applicants are to note their application numbers for access to their admission status subsequently, please,” the circular read.
