JUST IN: Buhari’s remains arrive in Katsina

Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s body has arrived at the Katsina Airport.

The body, accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and some family members of the late former president, landed on the airport runway at about 1:59 pm.

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibril, and other dignitaries were present to receive the remains alongside Buhari’s relatives.

Buhari’s body will be transported to Daura, where he is scheduled to be buried following a military farewell.
