Ahmed Musa, Super Eagles winger, has been appointed as the new General Manager of NPFL outfit,  Kano Pillars FC.
Ahmed Musa’s appointment alongside 17 others was endorsed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf following a major shake-up in the club management ahead of the 2026 professional league season.
In a statement signed on Friday by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the spokesperson of the Kano State Governor, the  32-year-old former Leicester City player will lead the management team of his former club in the 2025/2026 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

According to the statement, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has vowed to support the new management board to ensure the club churn in good results next season.

The shake-up follows the expiration of the one-year tenure earlier granted to the board, which successfully led the team to finish 9th on the NPFL table.

According to the statement, Musa’s appointment is a strategic move to leverage his wealth of experience and leadership to help reposition the club as a formidable contender in the league.

The newly approved management board also includes Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara), Chairman; Salisu Mohammed Kosawa, Member; Yusuf Danladi Andy Cole, Member; Idris Malikawa Garu, Member; Nasiru Bello, Member; and Muhammad Ibrahim (Hassan West), Member.

Others are Abdulkarim Audi, Chara Member, Muhammad Danjuma, Gwarzo Member, Mustapha Usman Darma, Member, Umar Dankura, Member, Ahmad Musbahu, Member, Gambo Salisu Shuaibu Kura, Member, Rabiu Abdullahi, Member, Aminu Ma’alesh, Member, Safiyanu Abdu, Member, Abubakar Isah Dandago Yamalash, Media Director I, and Ismail Abba Tangalash, Media Director II.

The state government charged the reconstituted board, under the leadership structure, to consolidate the team’s achievements and deliver improved results in the forthcoming season
