A coalition of opposition parties in Gombe and Jigawa States has embraced the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their new platform to contest for 2027 elections.
Gombe State conducted its unveiling ceremony at the Shugleez event centre during the “Expanded Cocus Meeting” on Tuesday, with party officials and prominent members of the opposition in attendance.
He urged the electorate to act wisely in the next elections, noting that they are the ultimate judges between the ruling party and the opposition.
The former minister also announced plans by the ADC to commence registration of members in the 114 wards of the state, aimed at expanding the party’s membership and reach.
Idris stated that the party is open to everyone, regardless of their background or political affiliation.
In Jigawa, ADC was inaugurated with the former deputy governor, Alh. Ahmed Mahmud Gumel appointed as the party’s state coordinator.
