2023: Your support for Tinubu won’t be in vain, Group tells Ndigbo

The Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative (OPI), has assured Ndigbo that their support for Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All progressive congress (APC), would not be in vain.

Ginika Tor, convener of the group, gave the assurance during the inauguration of the OPI think-tank in Abuja.

She charged members of the group to work assiduously and tirelessly towards ensuring the victory of Tinubu in the 2024 poll.

Tor thanked members of the OPI think tank for availing themselves to be used in this capacity, adding their contributions will not be in vain or taken for granted.

Seyi, the son of Tinubu, Seyi who graced the meeting expressed satisfaction over the progress of work on the ground and assured them of his support.

The first female presidential aspirant of the APC, and Vice Chairman of the presidential campaign council (PCC), Mrs Uju Kennedy Ohanenye applauded members of the group for rallying support for Tinubu in the South East geopolitical zone.

She assured Tor of her unalloyed support towards the realization of the success of the OPI and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu/ Shettima come 2023.

Uju lauded the effort of the Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative and described it as selfless, ingenuous and commendable.” It is a notable mark that you have made and I am very proud of you”, she said.

The Secretary of the Group, Dr Emmanuel Ogbonna, described the drive of the group as a force to be reckoned with in this political dispensation, saying they have recorded tremendous successes so far and support both from notable Igbo sons, institutions and individuals.

He also pointed out that the OPI has made in-roads in its drive towards promoting the candidacy of Asiwaju and Shettima. Many people are joining the train and giving their support in different forms.

The event which was held at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja was graced by notable sons and daughters of the Igbo race.
