Chelsea, English top side and defending champions, were drawn against 13-time winners Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Friday.
Chelsea are up for sale after the British government placed Russian owner Roman Abramovich under sanctions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Liverpool, who are on a good run of brilliant form, confront Portuguese side, Benfica, while Nigerian international, Samuel Chukweze’s Spanish side, Villareal will face German power house, Bayern Munich.
Draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of this season’s Champions League, made at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
