Business entrepreneurs and start-ups have been enjoined not to get weary but upgrade and rise above the present economic loom caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic disease.
Dr Stephen Akintayo, Executive Chairman, GText Homes Ltd stated this yesterday during the Upgrade Conference and launching of Stephen Akintayo Foundation and Book Presentation.
According to Dr Akintayo ” most business owners get weary within three years space of running their enterprise and is one of the reasons most start-ups and SMEs dont rise above a particular level, because they have not been able to carve a niche for themselves”
He added that ” majority of these entrepreneurs want to do almost everything that can bring in fast income for them. The solution is upgrading of skills, proper system, branding and mentoring, among other panacea.
Mr Flemmming Rontveld , the Managing Director GText Global Homes Ltd in his own contribution added that “budding entrepreneurs need to network with other great minds and be offered mentorship that offer capacity to them to move from their present position to where they want to be.
He noted that ” most dynamic societies in the world are the ones that have the most entrepreneurs, plus the economy and legal structures to encourage businessmen to achieve greater activities” .
In his words “a nation is prosperous only to the degree to which it encourages entrepreneurial activities in the society”.
Other speakers at the Upgrade Conference were: Mr Ajibola Ogunkeyede, the Chief Executive of Ufit Fly , Mr Eizu Uwaoma, Managing Director of Hexava Consulting, among others.
The occasion was preceded by the launching of two books : Billionaire Habits and Billionaire Codes, authored by Dr Stephen Akintayo.
Billionaire Habits highlighted the secrets qthe billionaires use to build wealth that the poor dont use, while the Billionaire Code detailed the codes that billionaires use to create wealth that others dont deploy.
The Upgrade conference has been hosted in over 40 countries: Nigeria – Lagos, Benin city, Abuja, Port Harcourt and overseas in London, Dubai UAE, US cities – Baltimore, Silver Spring, Maryland, New York, Dallax, Houston, San Antonio, and Atlanta, Georgia.
