Buhari on Friday, ended a two-day visit to the state during which he met with Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other stakeholders.
The meeting held at the New Exco Chambers, Government House Abakiliki.
During the meeting, the Igbo leaders asked for an unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People’s of Biafra (IPOB), a request the president declined, asking the leaders to allow the court to decide.
While the meeting had in attendance several stakeholders of the zone, including Prof George Obiozor, president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo; Anyim Pius Anyim, presidential hopeful and former senate president, a number of leaders were denied access into the meeting hall.
