Charles Soludo, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and governor-elect of Anambra State, on Tuesday, paid a visit to Amoji Primary School in Amoji Community, Idemili North local government area of the state, ahead of his inauguration as governor on March 17.
Soludo, a professor of economics, will on Thursday, take over from Chief Willie Obiano as the governor of Anambra, having won the November 2021 governorship election in the state under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Announcing the visit to the school via his Twitter handle, Soludo said it was part of his ‘adopt a school initiative,’ which according to him, is an experiment that has proved to be effective.
“It was a pleasure to visit Amoji Primary school, Isuofia with my family this morning,” he said. “Amoji primary school is part of my “adopt a school” experiment that has proven very effective in bridging the educational gap in our rural community.”
