The Senate has summoned the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu and heads of all security agencies in Nigeria over the alleged sponsorship of Boko Haram by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Other security chiefs to appear before the Senate are the heads of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Department of State Services (DSS), and Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Also summoned are the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Chief of Air Staff (CoAS), and the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS).

They are to brief the Senate over the alleged sponsorship of Boko Haram by USAID, as alleged by US Republican Congressman Scott Perry on February 13, 2025.
