Ichie (Dr) Nnaeto Orazulike, a foremost Pan African business magnate and social entrepreneur was on Tuesday, conferred with a national honour, the Order of the Niger (OON), by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Orazulike was one of the distinguished Nigerians to receive national accolades at the 2022 National Honours Award investiture ceremony which held in Abuja.
The honour is in recognition of Ichie Orazulike’s selfless service to humanity and contributions to the growth of the country.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. President listed the criteria as consistent and meaningful participation in community and national development.
He also listed remarkable achievement in any field of expertise where the person’s activities has made significant contributions to the attainment of national goals and objectives.
Ichie Orazulike who is a Non-Executive Director of Ecobank Nigeria having been appointed in April 2022, is the founder and Group Managing Director of Genesis Group, a proudly Nigerian conglomerate with interests in Restaurants, Cinemas, Hotels, food production and Oil and Gas services and production.
He is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he bagged a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and an alumnus of Havard Business School Executive Training Program.
He was awarded the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Port Harcourt in 2015.
In 2021, he won the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) 60- anniversary awards for his exemplary role in the entertainment and hospitality sector.
He has won many awards at national and state levels.
