Remo Stars have emerged champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s side claimed their maiden NPFL title following a 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, on Sunday.
Olamilekan Adedayo scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute to spark wild celebrations.
Earlier, Alex Oyowah had a goal ruled out for offside, and several opportunities fell to Nduka Junior, Sikiru Alimi, and Bello Babatunde, but all proved fruitless.
With the win, Remo Stars sit atop the standings with 68 points from 35 matches.
Second-placed Rivers United have accumulated 58 points from the same number of games.
