The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Youth Wing has said that president Muhammadu Buhari has turned his government into a religious organization, victimizing those that did not belong to his group.
The national president of the association, Mr. Daniel David Kadzai, who spoke to journalists yesterday at Yola international airport on his way to Abuja, noted that the recent suspension of the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) Mr. Babachir David Lawal and the Director General of NIA Mr. Ayo Oke, is a confirmation that religion has become immunity under this administration.
He argued that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) acting chairman Ibrahim Magu, is indicted by Department of Security Service (DSS), but he is still in office due to his religion.
Kadzai pointed out that the present government declared war on Christians when the present minister of education removed Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) as a subject in the academic curriculum of the country. He further disclosed that the SGF ran into troubled waters when he queried the JAMB registrar for contracting Jaiz bank, which has very few branches in the country to register students for the examination.
He pointed out that the controversial suspension of Lawal and Oke and allowing indicted Magu to remain in office is a clear plot to plant Muslims in those vacant seats.
