Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the commission will provide the Labour Party (LP) all the documents it requested for to prosecute its case in court.
Recall, that the LP is in court to challenge the results of the February 25 presidential election where the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu emerged winner.
Speaking at a meeting with the legal team of the Labour Party on Monday at INEC headquarters in Abuja, Yakubu said: “INEC has nothing to hide. Documents available at the headquarters will be given immediately.
“We are meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners today and we will discuss how other documents at the state level could also be made available to you speedily.
