Obi floors Atiku in Delta, PDP VP candidate’s home state

Mr. Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has defeated the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s presidential election in Delta State.

Delta is the home state of Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of the state and vice presidential candidate of the PDP.

The Labour Party candidate polled 341,866 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar, his PDP counterpart who got 161,600 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) came third with 90,183.

The results were announced by the Delta State Presidential Election Collation Officer (SCOPE), Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill of the University of Port-Harcourt today Tuesday, 28 February, 2023, at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Delta State Headquarters, Asaba.
