Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano State, has officially emerged as presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Kwankwaso, who was the only presidential aspirant on the party’s platform, was endorsed as candidate by delegates through a voice vote on Wednesday.
The party held its convention at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
The former Kano governor will now face Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the PDP; Bola Tinubu, candidate of the APC; Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party, among others at the presidential election in 2023.
