Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has won his polling unit in Adamawa State.
The former vice president won at Ajiya Ward, Ibrahim Attah Road Polling Unit, 012, which caused widespread celebrations among voters.
Atiku scored 282 votes out of the 350 total votes cast, leaving Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso in second, third and fourth places respectively.
Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress garnered 57 votes, while Obi and Kwankwaso of the Labour Party scored six and one vote respectively.
Shortly after the declaration of the result, chants of Sai Waziri filled the air as supporters, obviously happy with the electoral outcome, sang and danced their way in different directions.
