Microsoft seeks to partner with NITDA

The Director General,  National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS, FIIM has  restated the readiness of his Agency to partner with Microsoft for the development of IT in the country.
He disclosed this today at the Agency’s corporate Headquarters, Abuja while playing host to a delegation by Microsoft led by Salwa Smaoni.
He stated that the Agency would like to collaborate with the Corporation in areas of Capacity building, Internet of things (IoT) awareness, Regulations, Promotion of Local Content, Policy making and establishment of Cyber Security center.
Pantami emphasised  that Federal Government would be glad to establish a cyber security center similar to that of Microsoft center in Redmond, Washington to enable government prevent and fight cybercrime.
Mrs Smaoni, the government leader of OIEA of Microsoft asserted that in achieving digital transformation, four pillars must be taken into consideration. These four pillars she stated are: engaging with customers; empowering employees; optimizing operations and transforming products.
She added that Microsoft have the ambition to support the Agency in all possible areas like policy formulation, training, IT products and others within  IT scope.
