American multinational technology conglomerate, META, has confirmed a WhatsApp outage on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
According to CNN, WhatsApp is having a significant outage that prevents some users from using the platform to send messages.
The business, which also owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp among other products and services, stated that it is making every effort to restore service as soon as possible.
The reports state that there have been nearly 70,000 app-based reports of the outage, according to data from Down Detector.
Speaking to CNN Business, the company spokesman said that they are aware of the problem and are attempting to resolve it.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore Whatsapp for everyone as quickly as possible,” said the spokesperson.
