– First son of late Odumegwu Ojukwu, Debe, has hailed Biafra movement in Nigeria – He said it is the solution to the marginalised people of the old Eastern region of Nigeria – He is, however, rumoured to be eyeing the 2019 presidency Debe Ojukwu, first son of the former Head of state of defunct Eastern region of Nigeria, late Major General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has hailed the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, describing it as the solution to the marginalization of people of the old Eastern region that has led to recent aggressive calls for Biafra.
Ojukwu, who applied for membership into the human rights political organization and the United Progressive Party (UPP) on Thursday, announced his latest plans to join politics on the movement’s Whatsapp group, called Biafrans in Nigeria on the social network.
Political analysts, NAIJ.com learnt, say the latest move by the son of the Biafran hero may not be unconnected with recent rumours that Debe is eyeing the number one seat of power in Nigeria in 2019 under the UPP.
