French and Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema, has won the 2022 Ballon d’Or award in Paris.
The award was presented by former Real Madrid’s coach Zinedine Zidane at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France on Monday.
Benzema, 34, is winning the award for the first time in his career.
Argentine forward, Lionel Messi and his Portuguese counterpart, Cristiano Ronaldo had dominated the award in the past 10 years.
