Some local government workers in Kaduna State on Monday in Zaria protested the recent mass posting by the State Local Government Service Commission.
Speaking to newsmen, spokesman of the aggrieved workers who preferred anonymity alleged that the posting was for selfish interest purposely to favour some staff who were running errands for top officials of the commission.
He accused the officials of being corrupt in the posting.
The spokesman wondered how the commission engaged in the posting while ongoing local government reform and Staff auditing were yet to be concluded in the state, adding that most the local governments were owing their workers 9 to 12 Months arrears which were yet to be cleared.
The workers further complained that the posting subjected many workers to serious hardship in their new duty post because their salaries were not cleared from their former places of work.
The workers, therefore, called on the state government to revert the posting, though the state Assembly had before now directed the commission to revert the posting but the commission defied the directive.
