The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has invited Festus Keyamo, spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council as it begins investigation of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over alleged diversion of public funds whilst he was Vice-President of Nigeria through ‘Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV)’.
Festus Keyamo Chambers revealed this on Thursday in a press release signed by John Ainetor, assistant head of chambers.
According to the Chamber: “The Bureau has invited our client Mr. Festus Keyamo to come forward to adopt his petition and to help it to secure the presence of the whistleblower, Mr. Michael Achimugu to assist in the investigation.
Mr. Keyamo assures that the crusade for accountability in respect of this issue was not a campaign gimmick as he promises to follow it through to a logical conclusion, even after the victory of the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the chambers said.
Keyamo had petitioned the CCB to probe Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate in the just concluded 2023 general elections, following the revelation by Atiku’s former lawyer, Michael Achimugu, alleging financial malfeasance during the former’s reign as Vice President.
