Adebayo Lawal has been sworn in as the new deputy governor of Oyo State.
He was sworn-in by the state Chief Judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, on Monday in government house, Ibadan.
Rauf Olaniyan, the former deputy governor was impeached by the state house of assembly over allegations of misconduct and abuse of office on Monday.
During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Seyi Makinde told Lawal, “The position of the deputy governor is a position of trust. Our masters are the people of Oyo State, and our responsibility is to continue to serve them to the best of our abilities and deliver good governance to them.”
