Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., known professionally as Snoop Dogg, an American rapper and songwriter, has said he may buy Twitter, a microblogging platform.
Snoop Dogg’s comment comes in the wake of an announcement by Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, that he is putting his $44bn deal to buy the platform on hold over alleged bots.
The 50-year-old American rapper noted that when he buys the platform, he would give everyone the blue checkmark, including bots, in a tweet probably intended as a joke.
“May have 2 buy Twitter now,” Snoop said via @SnoopDogg
“Gonna replace the board of directors with Jimmy from my corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chung and tha guy with the ponytail on CNBC.
“First line of business. Free internet on airplanes!!! 29 dollars for 1 hour is bullshit. ✈️✈️
“Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even tha bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you in DMs n just say “Hello”. Nah fuck those bots.” #WhenSnoopBuysTwitter …
