Lionel Messi, Argentine captain says he knew that God would eventually give him the World Cup trophy.
Messi who spoke after inspiring Argentina to win the first World Cup trophy in 36 years on Sunday, said: “I knew that God was going to give it to me, I had a feeling that this was mine.
“We can’t wait to be in Argentina to see how crazy the celebrations is going to be.
“This was the trophy I wanted all my life. This was my dream from childhood.”

“I’m not retiring from the National Team. I want to continue playing as a champion.”
