Some supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been killed by gunmen for defying a sit-at-home order issued by Simon Ekpa, a self acclaimed follower of Nnamdi Kanu, in Anambra State.
A video seen on social media on Tuesday morning shows some lifeless bodies in the pool of their blood which the gunmen identified as those working for the APC government.
Ekpa, a Finland-based self-proclaimed disciple ofKanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had declared a five-day sit-at-home across the southeast geopolitical zone.
He declared the sit-at-home to test the resolve of the people to boycott the 2023 general elections.
However, the detained leader of IPOB, Kanu, through his counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, countered the directive and asked IPOB faithful to ignore the order as he never authorised it.
“Thunder fire APC. This government is our government. Anybody working with Nigerian government will die,” one of the gunmen said in the video.
