Simon Lalong, Director-General, DG Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, has lost the bid to occupy the Plateau South Senatorial seat as he was defeated by retired AVM Napoleon Bali of the People’s Democratic Party.
Lalong contested the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, he scored 91, 674 while Bali who defeated him scored 148,844 to emerge the winner.
Recall that he had earlier lost his polling unit at Ajikamai to the Labour Party and Shendam, his local government area was also won by a large margin by the Labour Party.
Similarly, the PDP’s Isaac Kwallu won the Mikang/Shendam/Qua’an Pan federal constituency seat as he defeated John Dafa’an, Lalong’s former Chief of Staff who contested the seat on the platform of the APC.
