Justice John Adeyeye, the Ekiti State Chief Judge, has on Thursday, set free 34 awaiting-trial prison inmates while admonishing them to “go and sin no more”.
Among the 32 freed inmates, three were released on bail, 22 were freed unconditionally while the nine others got their liberty based on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions that they had no case to answer. The inmates regained their freedom during a visit by the CJ to the custodial centre in the state.
Joseph Ojo, the Comptroller of the Correctional Centre, who was represented by O. Atinaro the Assistant Comptroller of the Centre, appreciated the CJ and his entourage for the visit.
