Manchester United have qualified for the semi-final of the Europa League, following their 2-1 win over Anderlecht at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
The first leg ended 1-1 in Belgium, with Jose Mourinho’s team needing an outright win in the return leg, to make the final four.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan continued his fine goalscoring form in the competition with the first goal of the match, but Anderlecht equalized through Sofiane Hanni.
There were no more goals in regulation time and the tie ended into extra time.
Marcus Rashford tucked away Marouane Fellaini’s knock down in the second leg of extra time, to keep United’s hope of qualifying for the Champions League by winning the competition alive.
