The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Mallam Nasir El- Rufai has commended the transformational leadership of the Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FBCS, FIIM which has seen the Agency migrate from an administrative to a knowledge base Agency within a short time frame.
Mallam El- Rufai made this commendation during his remarks shortly after receiving an award as the “Best State Government in Adoption of Information Technology” on behalf of the State during NITDA’s eNigeria 2018 Digital Service Promotion Awards and gala night held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Govenor said that, “having been among the team that established NITDA in 2001, I am proud of the achievements of Dr Pantami as the Director General”.
The night also recognised long serving Staff of NITDA who have strived hard over the last 10 years by contributing their quota in adding value to Nigeria’s IT sector, other recipients of awards include,
Muhammed Munnir Hassan of Munir eSystem as ‘Best Startup’; Best MDA (Compliance to IT Clearance Regulation) goes to Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); Best MDA (Ease of Doing Business) are Nigeria Immigration Service. (NIS) and Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC); Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for Digital Economy Promotion; MTN won the ‘Industry regulatory Award’ (NITDEF Levy) and Zenith Bank came second; the ‘FinTech Awards (Public Sector)’ goes NIBSS; and the ‘Director General/CEO’s Award for Most Proficient NITDA Scholar’ was awarded to
Hussaini Hussaini.
