The elders of Adesagbon Community have declared that there is no controversy about its status as an autonomy community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
A statement by Pa Samuel Osarenkhoe Okungbowa, the Odionwere (Community head) of Adesagbon, urged concerned authorities to accord the the community its honour.
He explained that the Adesagbon Community is bounded by six communities, including Ehiozevbaru, Iguovbiahianmwen, Obadan, Udeni, Ugha and Okhuo respectively.
Part of the statement read, “After thorough investigation and consultation, it is very vital to set the record straight that Adesagbon Community is one of the existing and recognized Community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
“Adesagbon Community is an autonomous Community of its own and it is bounded by six (6) Communities which include Ehiozevbaru, Iguovbiahianmwen, Obadan, Udeni, Ugha and Okhuo respectively.
“It is hereby stated clearly for the notice of the general public that Adesagbon Community is not under the control of these Communities mentioned above.”
