The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC), has warned that cholera can kill within hours.
Cholera a diarheal disease is endemic in Nigeria and it is said to have killed at least 3,604 people in the country in 2021.
In a fresh message on its Facebook page, NCDC said: “With an incubation period of at least 2 hours, #cholera can kill within hours if untreated.
“It is easily transmitted in areas with poor sanitation hygiene practices & lack of clean water. Reporting suspected cases early increases the chances of survival”
